Useful apps: Grab, Google Maps, MyTransport.SG. Payment cards and contactless are common. Local note: chewing gum import/sale is restricted; avoid littering and public nuisance.
Japan
Useful apps: Google Maps, Japan Travel by NAVITIME, Suica/PASMO support where available. Cash is still useful outside big cities. Keep quiet on trains and follow local waste rules.
UAE
Useful apps: Careem, RTA apps, Google Maps, Talabat or Deliveroo. Cards and wallets are common. Respect photography, dress and public behaviour rules.
