Hoi An: 3-Day Itinerary

Three days lets you explore the Old Town properly, spend time at the beach, eat exceptionally well, and fit in a tailoring order with time for a fitting. Rent a bicycle on day one.

Day 1 — Ancient Town. Buy an Old Town ticket (120,000 VND, five heritage sites). Start with the Japanese Covered Bridge, then Fujian Assembly Hall, Tan Ky House, Museum of Trade Ceramics. Walk Bach Dang street by the river before 10:00 AM for the best light. Afternoon: first tailor fitting. Return at dusk for the lantern-lit streets.

Day 2 — Beach and cooking class. Cycle to An Bang Beach (15 minutes). Afternoon cooking class — most start at the central market, then teach three or four local dishes. Evening: second tailor fitting.

Day 3 — Countryside. Morning bike ride to Tra Que Vegetable Village, 3 kilometres north. Or a boat trip up the Thu Bon River. Afternoon: final tailor pickup, last-chance shopping, and a final bowl of banh mi.
